The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a revered pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake in Tibet, significant in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and the Bon religion. Mount Kailash is considered Lord Shiva’s divine abode, while Mansarovar Lake is believed to have purifying powers. The Yatra (tour), which takes place from May to September, requires special permits due to the high-altitude terrain. The parikrama (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash is especially significant, as it is believed to cleanse karmic debt and bring devotees closer to moksha (Salvation), breaking the cycle of birth and death.

The tour includes a 13-day pilgrimage, starting in Kathmandu/Lucknow with sightseeing, shopping, and briefings before traveling through Nepal and Tibet. Pilgrims complete the sacred parikrama around Mount Kailash and visit significant sites like Mansarovar Lake, Rakshas Tal, Shivsthal, and Yamdwar. It is important to highlight that during the Inner Parikrama, pilgrims will undertake a sacred circumambulation of Mount Nandi (also known as Nandi Kora). Additionally, they will have the opportunity to explore notable attractions such as Kuber Kunda and the Saptarishi Cave. The journey concludes with a return to Kathmandu/Lucknow, with accommodations ranging from hotels to guesthouses and dormitory-style stays during the trek.
