Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

14 Days Tour

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Trip Preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Nidhi Tours and Travels will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. After some rest, we will have a briefing session to discuss the trek. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional Nepalese cuisine hosted by Leaf Holidays. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day02: Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 8km, 3 – 4 hours

Enjoy a scenic 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most picturesque air routes in the world. Upon arrival in Lukla, we will meet our crew members and start the trek. After a gradual descent through the village of Cheplung, we will catch a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila. Continuing downhill, we reach Phakding for the night.

Day03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft): 11km, 5 – 6 hours

Our trek takes us through a beautiful pine forest, crossing the Dudh Koshi River, and passing Chumoa and Monjo, the entrance to the Everest National Park. After crossing a suspension bridge, we reach Jorsale village. A steep climb then leads us to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital. If the weather is clear, we may catch a view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.

Day04: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284ft)

Today is dedicated to acclimatization. We can explore the area around Namche Bazaar, visit the Sagarmatha National Park for sunrise views, and admire Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and others. Optionally, we can hike to Khumjung village, a traditional Sherpa settlement.

Day05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5 – 6 hours

The trail descends to the Dudh-Koshi River and then ascends through rhododendron forests to Tengboche. Upon reaching Tengboche, we can visit the Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the region, and enjoy views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.

Day06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m/14,300ft): 9km, 5 – 6 hours

We descend through forests of birch, conifers, and rhododendrons, passing scenic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We will cross the Imja River and make our way to Pangboche, with its famous monastery, before continuing to Dingboche.

Day07: Dingboche – Acclimatization

Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers. Spend the day acclimatizing by hiking to Nagarjun Hill or Chukkhung Valley, where you can enjoy stunning views of Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and more.

Day08: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m/16,207ft): 7km, 5-6 hours

We begin with a gradual climb to Duglha and then ascend to Chupki Lhara, where we will pass memorials dedicated to mountaineers Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa. The trail then takes us to Lobuche, with panoramic views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal.

Day09: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961ft), Visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft): 13km, 6-7 hours

We trek towards Everest Base Camp, passing through the rocky moraine and streams. Upon arrival, we can see the bright tents of mountaineers and enjoy views of Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori. After exploring Base Camp, we return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours

In the early morning, we hike to Kala Patthar for breathtaking 360-degree views of Mt. Everest. After taking in the views, we descend to Pheriche for a well-deserved rest.

Day11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280ft): 20km, 6 – 7 hours

We begin our descent through rhododendron and juniper forests, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. On the way, we pass through Sansa and enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse before reaching Namche Bazaar.

Day12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 – 7 hours

The trail descends steeply, crossing several suspension bridges. Upon arriving in Lukla, we reflect on our unforgettable journey.

Day13: Fly to Kathmandu

We catch an early flight back to Kathmandu, where you can rest or shop for souvenirs. If you wish to explore Kathmandu further, our guides can assist. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trek.

Day14: Final Departure

Your adventure concludes today. A representative from Leaf Holidays will escort you to the airport, where you will depart for your flight back home.

Cancellation Policy

  • After the Group-Naming list has been submitted for the permit, any cancellations will incur a fee of USD 500 per person. (The permit application is made 60 days prior to the travel date).
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 45 Days before the date of departure, 75% of total payment will be refunded.
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 30 Days before the date of departure, 50% of total payment will be refunded.
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 15 Days before the date of departure, NO payment will be refunded.

Emergency Departure and Associated Costs

In the event of an unforeseen emergency requiring a Yatri to depart the Yatra prematurely and seek to return, the Yatri will be fully responsible for any additional costs incurred due to this early departure. These expenses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Permit and visa cancellations
  • Transportation costs (e.g., return travel)
  • Meals and lodging
  • Medical care
  • Emergency rescue services
  • Any supplementary nights spent on the Nepal side of the journey
  • The Yatri will bear the full financial responsibility for these costs.
