A spiritual journey that takes you through breathtaking landscapes in Nepal and Tibet, culminating in a visit to the sacred Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake. Here’s a detailed itinerary for the yatra:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 Meters)

  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal.
  • Nidhi Tours and Travels representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel.
  • Check-in at the hotel and have an evening briefing about the tour.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Temples Tour

  • After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.
  • Visit key temples such as:
  • Pashupatinath Temple(The largest Hindu temple),
  • Guheshwori Devi,
  • Sleeping Vishnu(Buddhanilkantha). Swyambhu Nath Temple
  • Return to the hotel after the temple tour for lunch and leisure.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (2900 Meters, 150 km, 08-09 hours drive)

  • Early morning departure for the Nepal/China border (Timure/Syabrubesi) by reserved tourist bus.
  • En route, pack breakfast and lunch.
  • Arrive at the Nepal/China border (6-7 hours journey).
  • Overnight stay at Syabrubesi guesthouse.

Day 04: Kerung Rest

  • After immigration, enter Tibet.
  • Meet your Tibetan guide, then drive to Kerung.
  • Dinner at the guesthouse.
  • Overnight stay at Kerung guesthouse.
  • Rest for acclimatization and a brief exploration of the city.

Day 05: Kerung to Saga (4500 Meters) 220 KM ( 4 to 5 Hour )

  • After breakfast, drive to Saga via Lalungla Pass (16,000 ft), Paigu-tso Lake, and the Brahmaputra River.
  • Pack lunch on the way.
  • Overnight stay at a Hotel in Saga

Day 06: Saga to Manasarovar (4558 Meters, 475 km, 07–09 hours drive)

  • After breakfast, drive to Manasarovar Lake, with views of Mount Kailash.
  • Have a parikrama (circumambulation) of Manasarovar by bus.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at a guesthouse in Manasarovar.

Day 07: Manasarovar to Darchen (4575 Meters, 40 km, 01-hour drive)

  • Morning puja and bath at Manasarovar.
  • Drive to Darchen.
  • Overnight stay at the Hotel

Day 08: Darchen to Yamadwar and Trek to Dirapuk (4900 Meters, 12 km, 06-07 hours trek)

  • Drive to Yamadwar for Darshan.
  • Start your trek to Derapuk (12 km, 5-6 hours).
  • Pack lunch during the trek.
  • Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Dirapuk

Day 09: Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk via Dolma La Pass (4760 Meters, 23 km, 8-9 hours trek)

  • Early morning trek to cross the Dolma-La Pass (18,600 ft), the most challenging yet holiest part of the yatra.
  • Descend to Lham-chu Khir River and continue to Zuthulpuk village.
  • Pack lunch during the trek.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the guesthouse in Zuthulpuk.

Day 10: End Kailash Kora, Drive Back to Saga (475 KM 07 to 09 Hour)

  • Early morning exploration of Milarepa Cave and complete the Kailash Parikrama.
  • 3-hour walk to complete the parikrama, then drive back to Darchen.
  • Lunch in Darchen and drive to Saga.
  • Overnight stay at a Hotel in Saga.

Day 11: Drive Back to Kerung

  • After breakfast, drive back to Kerung.
  • Dinner at the guesthouse.
  • Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Kerung.

Day 12: Drive Back to Kathmandu

  • After breakfast, drive to the Nepal/China border.
  • Complete immigration and cross the border.
  • Drive back to Kathmandu and check into a hotel.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Final Departure

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

Documents Required

  • A clear color scan of your passport and 25% advance payment at least 30 days before the trip for Tibet group visa processing.

  • Personal expenses and soft drinks.
  • Tips for guides and drivers.
  • International airfare.

Cancellation Policy

  • After the Group-Naming list has been submitted for the permit, any cancellations will incur a fee of USD 500 per person. (The permit application is made 60 days prior to the travel date).
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 45 Days before the date of departure, 75% of total payment will be refunded.
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 30 Days before the date of departure, 50% of total payment will be refunded.
  • If the Yatri cancels the tour 15 Days before the date of departure, NO payment will be refunded.

Emergency Departure and Associated Costs

In the event of an unforeseen emergency requiring a Yatri to depart the Yatra prematurely and seek to return, the Yatri will be fully responsible for any additional costs incurred due to this early departure. These expenses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Permit and visa cancellations
  • Transportation costs (e.g., return travel)
  • Meals and lodging
  • Medical care
  • Emergency rescue services
  • Any supplementary nights spent on the Nepal side of the journey
  • The Yatri will bear the full financial responsibility for these costs.
